About Me
My name is Kevin and I am a recent graduate of Brown University. I studied East Asian Studies and even wrote a thesis about Chinese Legal Reform at the end of the nineteenth century. I currently work in PR and would like to pursue a career in international business one day.
But now?
I like video games. Playing them. Discussing them. Analyzing them. It’s a hobby I’ve had since I was very young, and one I still enjoy very much. I believe games deserve forums devoted to criticism and analysis the same way literature and cinema do.
About This Site
The purpose of this site is discussed in my first post. Basically, I have two goals:
1) To discuss games as a reflection of society
2) To improve my writing and gain a deeper appreciation for what games say about us.
I appreciate any and all comments. I even accept submissions. (I’ll read them at least!)
Enjoy the site.
Cheers!
Kevin

Would love to see you write a piece on Angry Birds and other “stupid games” we all play nowadays. How mainstream it all went
Hey there! Our school (Chinese International School) is currently working on a film project, and our group’s chosen to create a documentary on gaming in Hong Kong. We were wondering if perhaps you would be interested in doing an interview with us, and share with us some of your views on video games and gamers in Hong Kong (assuming you still live in Hong Kong)? If you would be interested in doing this for us, please reply, and we can sort out the details then. Please reply ASAP! Thanks a lot!
Hey, sorry for the long delay, I wouldn’t consider myself an expert on the HK gaming scene my any stretch. I still follow the U.S. scene pretty closely, and actually know very little about what makes the HK scene special. I’d be happy to try to answer any questions you might have, but again, I might not be the best fit for this particular assignment.
Cheers,
Kevin
