VIDEO: On Steam, Choice and Opportunity Costs

February 15, 2012 · Kevin

In this special video, I discuss why our massive collection of video games (particularly on Steam) might actually be making us unhappy. With so much choice, we are often left regretful of poor decisions we make and are keenly aware of the fact that when we play one game, we do so at the expense of hundreds of others.

Truly, a first world problem.

Apologies for the gap in the middle; it’s a shame my camera hates me.

Stay tuned for more essays. Maybe a comic will come next!

Cheers,

Kevin

  • Welcome to Gaming Culture

This is a site dedicated to asking a simple question, with complex answers: How are video games a reflection of contemporary culture and society?

I believe that games are an emerging art form and that they deserve critical, intelligent analysis.

    Disagree with anything I write?

    Let me know!

    Cheers,
    Kevin
